Industry knowledge

Yangzhou Aiweite Electromechanical Co., Ltd. builds diesel generator sets from 1 kVA to 2,500 kVA and has manufactured and installed generating equipment since 2008. Within this product family we supply four structural formats — open, silent, trailer and container — so a project can be matched to its enclosure, mobility, noise and installation conditions rather than forced into one housing type.

Our work covers generator production, system integration and installation for industrial, commercial and infrastructure applications. Each set is assembled from a selected engine, alternator, controller, cooling package and base frame, then verified before dispatch. the category sets out the range we offer as a Open/Silent/Trailer/Container Diesel Generator Suppliers and the project inputs we use to configure a set.

Our Structural Range and Where Each Format Fits

Structure is usually the first decision after power rating, because it determines noise level, weather protection, transport method and maintenance access. We build all four formats on the same engine, alternator and control platform, so electrical performance is consistent across the range and the choice is driven by site conditions.

Open Type

Bare set on an integrated base frame with exposed engine, alternator and radiator. Best heat dissipation, lowest cost, fastest inspection. Suited to indoor generator rooms, mines, processing plants and central power stations with ventilation and noise control already in place.

Silent Type

Enclosed canopy with muffler and sound-absorbing lining, weatherproof and dustproof. For residential areas, hotels, offices, hospitals and schools where noise limits and appearance matter.

Trailer Type

Mobile set on a road-tow chassis for construction sites, road and rail works, events and rental fleets where the unit must move between locations.

Container Type

ISO-footprint enclosure for larger ratings, outdoor fixed stations, data centres and remote sites needing secure, weather-protected, transportable housing.

Format Comparison for Project Planning

Format Noise & Weather Typical Installation Main Application
Open No enclosure; needs room ventilation and site noise measures Indoor machine room, concrete plinth Factories, mines, chemical plants, parallel power stations
Silent Soundproof canopy, ≤75 dB(A) at 1 m, rain and dust protected Outdoor pad or enclosed room Residential, commercial, hospitals, schools
Trailer Canopy plus tow chassis, brakes and road lighting as specified Mobile, repositioned between sites Construction, road and rail works, rental, events
Container ISO enclosure, lockable, weather and dust protected Outdoor fixed station, skid or foundation Data centres, utilities, remote and high-rating sites

Engine, Power and Electrical Configuration

The structural format sits on top of a power and engine selection. We build sets across the full 10 kVA–2500 kVA band and can match the engine brand to the duty, fuel quality and service network available at the site. Engine options include Cummins, Perkins, Volvo, MTU, Weichai, Yuchai, Baudouin and SDEC platforms.

  • Power rating: standby, prime or continuous duty, selected against the load profile rather than a nameplate figure alone.
  • Frequency and voltage: 50 Hz or 60 Hz, with voltage and phase configured to the destination grid.
  • Control system: Deep Sea, SmartGen, ComAp or a customer-specified controller, with auto start, protection and monitoring functions.
  • Alternator and excitation: matched to the engine output and to the starting duty of the connected load.
  • Fuel system: base-tank or external tank arrangements, with larger tanks available on open and container formats.

Where a project spans several ratings, the same platform can be ordered across the Diesel Generator By Power Range bands, which keeps spares, control logic and operator training consistent across a fleet.

Application Fit by Site Condition

Format selection follows the site, not the catalogue. The points below are the conditions that most often decide the outcome.

  • Noise-sensitive locations: silent or container format, with the canopy and exhaust route designed together.
  • Indoor rooms: open format with calculated combustion and cooling air paths, plus ducting for radiator discharge.
  • Moving between sites: trailer format with towing speed, axle load and brake requirements agreed in advance.
  • Outdoor fixed stations: container format for security, weather protection and easier transport of larger ratings.
  • Parallel operation: open or container format with synchronising panels and load-sharing controls.

Controls, Automation and Line Integration

We configure the control system around the required line interface. For standby duty this normally means mains monitoring, automatic transfer switching and a programmable cool-down cycle; for prime or continuous duty it means load management, alarm and shutdown protection, and remote monitoring where the site is unmanned.

  • ATS and changeover logic matched to the incoming supply arrangement.
  • Remote monitoring and communication modules for status, alarms and running hours.
  • Multi-set paralleling with synchronising, load sharing and kW/kVAr control.
  • Protection settings for over/under voltage, overcurrent, high coolant temperature and low oil pressure.

Manufacturing and Quality Control

Our production is organised around generator system integration rather than general assembly. Engine and alternator integration, canopy fabrication and modular assembly for different power ranges run through a unified workflow, with control points at incoming inspection, assembly verification, electrical safety checks and mechanical fitting inspection.

Before delivery, each set goes through performance validation: full-load testing from 0 to 110% of rated capacity, step-load response, continuous operation endurance, voltage and frequency stability, and emergency protection verification. Aiweite holds ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management system certification.

Installation, Commissioning and Acceptance

Installation requirements differ by format, and we confirm them before the set leaves the works so that site preparation is not left to chance.

  • Foundation and level: anti-vibration mounting, plinth or skid arrangement, and clearance for service access.
  • Ventilation: combustion air, radiator air path and room temperature rise for indoor open sets.
  • Exhaust: routing, insulation, silencer selection and discharge away from air intakes.
  • Fuel and cabling: tank siting, pipework, day-tank arrangements, cable sizing and earthing.
  • Acceptance: no-load and load testing on site, protection trip checks and control sequence verification against the agreed protocol.

Maintenance, Spare Parts and Serviceability

Service access is a design decision. Open sets expose all core components for inspection and fault finding without removing panels; silent and container sets use access doors sized for filter, belt and battery work. We supply genuine spare parts for engine components, alternator parts, electrical and control system parts, filters and consumables, and provide installation guidance, operation support and technical troubleshooting after commissioning.

OEM/ODM Customisation We Support

Our OEM and ODM work covers full system customisation: power configuration, engine selection, control system integration and structural design. Typical customisation includes branded production, canopy and acoustic design for specific noise targets, electrical configuration for 50 Hz or 60 Hz markets, and operating mode selection for standby, prime or continuous duty.

For engine-specific builds, the range is organised under Diesel Generator By Engine, including Cummins Powered Diesel Generator Sets and Perkins Powered Diesel Generator Sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which structural format should be used for an outdoor site with a strict noise limit?

A silent or container set. Both use a sealed canopy with muffler and sound-absorbing lining, and our silent range is controlled within ≤75 dB(A) at 1 m. Container format is normally chosen when the rating is larger or the site needs a lockable, transportable enclosure.

Can an open set be upgraded later to a silent or container configuration?

The electrical core is shared across formats, so an open set can be re-housed where dimensions and cooling allow. In practice it is more economical to specify the final format at the outset, because canopy sizing, exhaust routing and access doors are designed together with the set.

What power range do you manufacture?

We manufacture and install generator sets from 1 kVA to 2,500 kVA. The structural range is commonly supplied from 10 kVA to 2,500 kVA, and OEM/ODM projects can be configured from 10 kVA to 4,000 kVA depending on engine and alternator selection.

How is each set tested before delivery?

Every unit undergoes full-load testing from 0 to 110% of rated capacity, step-load response testing, continuous operation endurance testing, voltage and frequency stability checks, and emergency protection system verification.

Do you supply spare parts and after-sales support?

Yes. We supply engine components, alternator parts, electrical and control system parts, filters and consumables, and provide installation guidance, operation support and technical troubleshooting after commissioning.

What information is needed to prepare a configuration and quotation?

A load list with starting methods, the required duty mode, site conditions and noise limit, grid voltage and frequency, control and monitoring requirements, and the destination and transport constraints. With those inputs we can define the format, rating, engine, alternator and control package.
