Industry knowledge
Yangzhou Aiweite Electromechanical Co., Ltd. manufactures diesel generator sets from 1 kVA to 2,500 kVA, covering engine-branded, power-range and structure-based configurations for industrial, commercial and infrastructure power projects. As a China-based Genset Diesel Generator Suppliers, we handle engine and alternator integration, canopy and container fabrication, control system configuration, full-load testing and project coordination from our Yangzhou production base.
A genset is a complete power unit: diesel engine, alternator, fuel system, cooling and exhaust system, control panel, starting battery and protection devices assembled as one coordinated system. Our product family is organised along three selection axes so that a project can be specified from the engine side, the capacity side or the enclosure side without rebuilding the specification each time.
Every set is assembled, wired and tested as a single unit before dispatch. Configuration is fixed at the engineering review stage, so the engine rating, alternator frame, control module and enclosure are matched to the same working point rather than combined from independent stock items.
Sets built around Cummins, Perkins, Weichai, Yuchai, Baudouin, MTU, Volvo, SDEC and Mitsubishi power units, selected for fuel quality, service network and load behaviour in the destination market.
Standardised platforms across 10–100 kVA, 100–400 kVA, 400–1000 kVA and 1000–2500 kVA, with the frame, alternator and breaker sized to the band so that lead-time and spares planning stay predictable.
Open, silent, trailer and container formats. The structure decision follows the installation environment, noise limit, mobility requirement and whether the set will be shipped as a standalone unit or as part of a packaged plant room.
Open, silent, trailer and container type diesel generator sets
Structure selection is usually the fastest way to narrow a specification, because it fixes the installation, acoustic and transport constraints before the electrical detail is finalised. The table below shows how we normally map the four formats to project conditions.
| Structure | Typical Application | Key Configuration Points |
|---|---|---|
| Open Type Diesel Generator Sets | Indoor plant rooms, factory basements, containerised power houses with dedicated ventilation | Base frame, anti-vibration mounts, remote radiator or ducted exhaust, room airflow design |
| Silent Type Diesel Generator Sets | Hospitals, data centres, hotels, urban commercial buildings with noise limits | Canopy acoustic lining, lockable doors, integrated exhaust silencer, cable and fuel access |
| Trailer Type Diesel Generator Sets | Construction sites, rental fleets, temporary events, remote maintenance work | Road-legal axle and drawbar, braking arrangement, onboard fuel tank, weatherproof canopy |
| Container Type Diesel Generator Sets | Mine sites, utility substations, overseas infrastructure packages, high-capacity standby | ISO footprint, internal lighting, fire and thermal management, external fuel connection points |
Engine choice is driven by duty profile, fuel sulphur content, ambient temperature and the service infrastructure available where the set will run. We build around nine engine families, and each family carries its own maintenance interval and parts channel that should be considered at specification stage.
Capacity bands follow the same logic. Smaller frames suit retail, telecom and light commercial standby; mid bands cover manufacturing plants and commercial buildings; the upper bands serve data centres, mining, utilities and large infrastructure packages.
We configure the control system around the required line interface rather than supplying a fixed panel. Frequency and voltage are set to the destination grid standard, and the changeover logic is defined together with the switchgear that will sit alongside the set.
Duty rating is confirmed at this stage as standby, prime or continuous power, because the same engine frame carries different ratings depending on how it will be loaded. Alternator sizing, breaker rating and cable entry positions follow from that decision.
Our Yangzhou facility is organised for generator system integration rather than general assembly, with dedicated lines for engine and alternator mating and a separate canopy fabrication area. Production is controlled through defined checkpoints: incoming inspection of key components, assembly verification, electrical safety checks and mechanical fitting inspection.
Before dispatch, each set is validated through full-load testing from 0 to 110% of rated capacity, step-load response testing, continuous operation endurance testing, voltage and frequency stability checks, and emergency protection system verification. Test records accompany the unit so that the receiving engineer can confirm the set met its rated working point.
Installation requirements are defined during configuration so that site works and equipment delivery stay aligned. We provide foundation and anti-vibration guidance, ventilation and exhaust routing requirements, fuel system layout, cable sizing and battery/charger arrangement, together with commissioning checks for start sequence, protection settings and load acceptance.
After handover, we support operation with installation guidance, technical troubleshooting and a stable supply of genuine spare parts covering engine components, alternator parts, electrical and control system parts, filters and consumables. Maintenance intervals are set by the engine family and duty rating, and we confirm the recommended schedule for the specific configuration supplied.
Our OEM and ODM service covers full system customisation: power configuration, engine selection, control system integration, acoustic design and structural optimisation. Branded production is supported for distributors and project contractors who need consistent units across repeat orders.
Customisation scope includes power range, engine brand, enclosure format, electrical configuration, control platform, noise reduction level and operating mode. Each customised project passes through a structured engineering review before release to production, so that validated configurations are built rather than adapted on the shop floor.
A precise proposal depends on a small set of project inputs. When these are available, we can fix the engine, alternator, control system and structure in one pass and issue a configuration with the corresponding test and documentation scope.
| Input | What It Determines |
|---|---|
| Connected load list and starting method | Rated capacity, alternator frame, transient performance and step-load acceptance |
| Duty mode: standby, prime or continuous | Engine rating, cooling package and maintenance interval |
| Site voltage, frequency and phase | Alternator winding, breaker rating and control module settings |
| Installation environment and noise limit | Open, silent, trailer or container structure and acoustic treatment |
| Ambient temperature, altitude and fuel quality | Radiator sizing, derating calculation and fuel filtration specification |
| Switchgear, paralleling and monitoring interface | Control platform, communication protocol and terminal arrangement |
| Documentation, packaging and delivery scope | Test reports, manuals, spare parts list and shipping configuration |
