Product Introduction

Product Introduction

The Automatic Foundation Powder Pressing Machine is built for converting loose foundation powder into pressed pans through an automated sequence of quantitative filling, pre-pressing, main pressing, and ejection. The machine handles loose, semi-compact, and hard-pressed foundation formulas, including cream-to-powder and powder-to-cream systems that require controlled pressing profiles. Pressing force, dwell time, filling depth, and pan depth are configured through the PLC touchscreen, with parameters stored as recipes for each product code. Tooling is interchangeable for the pan formats used in foundation compacts, including round, square, oval, and custom profiles. The enclosed powder handling zone and recovery channel limit airborne material and reduce buildup around the pressing area. The machine is applied in foundation production where repeatable pan density, controlled surface finish, and consistent output are required across batches.

Core Advantages

Core Advantages

01

Multi-Formula Pressing Support

Pressing profiles are configured for loose, semi-compact, and hard-pressed foundation formulas, including cream-to-powder systems that require controlled dwell and release.

02

Pan Depth Control

Punch stroke is set numerically through the PLC, allowing pan depth to be adjusted for different foundation formats and pan weights.

03

Separate Pre-Press and Main Press

Pre-press and main press stages are independently adjustable, supporting uniform density and reduced lamination on thicker foundation pans.

04

Recipe-Based Changeover

Parameters for each foundation product are stored in the controller, reducing setup time when switching between shades and pan formats.

05

Reduced Powder Loss

Enclosed feeding and recovery channels limit airborne powder and material buildup around the pressing zone.

06

Batch Traceability

Pressing parameters and output counts are logged for each production run, supporting batch documentation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions and Solutions

Pan edges show cracking after pressing
Reduce main pressing speed, extend dwell time, or adjust the slow-release setting on the ejection stroke.
Lamination or splitting in thick pans
Extend pre-press dwell time, adjust powder particle size distribution, or reduce main pressing speed to allow air escape.
Powder sticking to punch faces
Apply approved mold release agent, reduce pressing force, or lower powder moisture content before pressing.
Inconsistent pan weight across batches
Check filling auger calibration, verify powder bulk density stability, and inspect the hopper for bridge formation.
Surface unevenness on large pans
Increase pre-press pressure, verify punch face flatness, and confirm filling distribution across the pan cavity.
Changeover time between shades and formats
Use quick-release tooling clamps and recall stored recipes from the PLC for each product code.
Powder bridging in the hopper
Check for moisture ingress, verify hopper wall finish, and adjust the agitation cycle to maintain steady powder flow.
Operating Notes

Operating Notes

Verify powder moisture content before pressing; excessive moisture causes sticking and delamination.
Clean the pressing area after each batch to prevent cross-contamination between shades.
Check pressing pressure stability at the start of each shift.
Calibrate the filling system when changing to a powder with different bulk density.
Do not exceed the maximum pressing force specified for the installed tooling set.
Inspect punch and die surfaces for wear or scratches during routine maintenance.
Keep the PLC ventilation filter clean to avoid overheating in continuous operation.
Verify pan cavity alignment after any tooling change or format adjustment.
Store tooling in a dry environment to prevent corrosion on contact surfaces.
